The project located in a loft apartment in a commercial and residential building. “Free switching between home, exhibition and office” is the owner’s expectation and appeal for this small loft. The demand can be fully displayed in any space of the home, which makes the home itself a situational customized exhibition hall.
Internet online shopping is convenient and fast, and it is easy to obtain massive information, but what follows is the missing of the perception of real things, patience, concentration and tranquility. We hope that people can find the missing beauty and experience the quiet time through this small physical space. The woodwork in the space is the product of the home studio. Visitors can experience the charm of customization from the actual life scenes we created, so that the exhibits can impress the visitors silently and help them to find real imagination and expectation of life.
When considering the issue of air-conditioning equipment, after confirming the position of the air-conditioning outlet on the first floor, it was found that a box can be extended upwards. The upper and lower edges of the box can perfectly correspond to the air outlets on the two floors and can hide the wiring of the air-conditioning equipment while to minimize the line.
The wooden board of the dining table can be moved and stretched, which can be shared by more than a dozen people around the table. The owner loves cooking and inviting friends or colleagues to enjoy a meal after work. A group of like-minded friends gather in this small world to chat without any trouble, and enjoy themselves freely.
The suspended staircase makes the space more transparent and light. Considering that adding the shielding of the boundary of the staircase will affect the permeability of the space, and it is not convenient for the transportation of bulky goods, we choose to sacrifice a certain amount of safety to complete the overall effect of the space after getting the support of the owner. Facts have proved that in the process of use, this little “adventure” can bring a more interesting experience and more focused emotion. This is the space preferred by children.

The sitting height of the leisure space does not adopt the conventional height of 450MM, but 300MM. This is a new attempt. During use, it is found that this height will produce various sitting postures, such as lying down, sitting, or leaning on the mat, and then As the height decreases, the users become more intimate.
Considering that the apartment may cancel the office display function in the later stage and become a pure home space, so we create a flexible space by sliding doors , which can be used as a public tea room reception area or as an independent bedroom.
