该项目是一个位于坡屋顶建筑顶层的公寓。栖斯利用中部空间的层高优势为58㎡的公寓设置了局部夹层，并设置了两条竖向交通加强上下层的连接，全屋由此形成了竖向环通的路径。这样的路径充分调动了身体与空间的互动，制造了一系列例如纵向攀爬、匐地而坐、躬身穿行等行为。
The project is an apartment on the top floor of a pitched roof building. We took advantage of the height of the middle space to set up a mezzanine for the 58㎡ apartment, and set up two vertical paths to strengthen the connection between the upper and lower floors, thus forming a vertical loop path in the apartment. The path fully mobilizes the interaction between the body and the space, creating a series of behaviors such as climbing, sitting on the ground, and bending over.

当下，发达的城市系统打造出一个巨大的无障碍空间。这似乎是一种人文关怀，但双刃剑的背后是很多关于人天性的行为与感受的缺失。都市空间将人的自然性逐渐剥离。通过身体与空间的互动重新调动人的本能，从而获得继续与都市共生的勇气。
Today, the developed urban system creates a huge barrier-free space. This seems to be a kind of humanistic care, but the other side is the lack of behaviors and feelings about human nature. Urban space gradually strips away human nature. Through the interaction between body and space, people’s instincts are re-mobilized, so as to gain the courage to continue to coexist with the city.

全屋的空间形态、材质设计皆围绕环形路径展开。路径中最大的体量是连接上下层的主楼梯。栖斯希望主楼梯既能舒适通行，又不侵占上下层的使用空间。并且从视觉上尽可能减少对开敞性的影响。

Space form and material design are all developed around the circular path. The largest volume in the path is the main staircase connecting the upper and lower floors. We hope that the main staircase can be passed comfortably without occupy on the space of the upper and lower floors. And visually reduce the impact on the openness as much as possible.

栖斯的空间构形策略是：消解体量。即是将大体量的楼梯分解为多个小体量并且与家具、吊顶相互融合。餐边柜台面延伸到楼梯一侧形成踏步，层板则充当了楼梯的转角平台。两个形体自然的结合在一起，形成了有机的形态。似乎原先就生长在建筑里。

Our space configuration strategy is to dissolve the volume. The large volume of stairs is decomposed into multiple small volumes and integrated with furniture and ceilings. The counter top of the cabinet extends to the side of the staircase to form a step, and the shelf acts as a corner landing for the staircase. The two shapes are naturally combined to become an organic form, as if they had grown in the building originally.

楼梯下方放置餐桌。低处踏步的高度容易磕碰。栖斯刻意降低低处的踏步，将其处理成一个置物架。置物架凸显了此处形体的存在感。也从一定程度阻挡了人靠近楼梯下方区域。这里放置了猫窝和喂食器，为家中的三只猫提供了舒适安定的庇护所。

The dining table is placed under the stairs. We set the lower steps as shelf to avoid bumps. The shelf highlights the presence of the shape here, which prevents people from approaching the area under the stairs to a certain extent. The cat bed and feeders are placed here ， providing a comfortable and stable shelter for the cats in the family.

形体的间隙为猫提供了穿行通道和观望平台。此处充分挖掘了空间效率，叠合了楼梯、餐边柜、书架、猫生活区四大功能。
The gaps in the shapes provide the cats with passageways and viewing platforms. We have fully exploited the efficiency of the space and superimposed the four functions of stairs, sideboard, bookshelf and cat living area.

夹层最高的区域设置了一处小起居厅作为空间节点。起居厅连接卧室、衣帽间、夹层的卫生间。阳光通过小侧窗照射进来，为整个二层带来自然采光和通风。
A small living room is set up in the highest area of the mezzanine. It is connected to the bedroom, cloakroom and bathroom on the mezzanine. Sunlight shines in through the small windows, bringing natural lighting and ventilation to the mezzanine.

栖斯降低了卧室区域楼板的高度。保障卧室的中段范围内仍可直立行走，且床头上方仍有较舒适的高度。卧室与下方的起居厅没有被完全封堵。以便空气、阳光流通。
We lowered the floor of the bedroom area. It ensures that people can still walk upright in the bedroom, and there is still a relatively comfortable height above the head of the bed. The bedroom and the living room are connected to ensure the circulation of air and sunlight in the space.

书房与夹层起居厅通过一个小通道连接。坡屋顶挤压了通道的高度，栖斯将门洞与书架结合，形成了一小段低矮的通道，人进入通道后需要弯腰蹲行或顺势坐下。通道被木饰面包裹，人可以依靠墙壁借力。这段路径加强了身体对空间的感知，也是进入书房夹层区域的缓冲。

The study room is connected with the mezzanine living room through a small passage. The sloping roof squeezes the height of the passage, and we combined the door opening with the bookshelf to form a short passage. People need to bend down and squat or sit down after entering the passage. The passage is wrapped with wood veneer, and people can rely on the wall to borrow strength. This path strengthens the body’s perception of space and is also a buffer for entering the mezzanine area of the study.

带轮子的爬梯平日可收纳在墙边，不影响底层通行。底层除了书桌，还设置了一个将书架与折叠床相结合的组合柜，书房也可以作为临时客房使用。上下层书架足够承载居住人的藏书需求。跨层取书时，通过爬梯上下，也为阅读增添了仪式感。
The ladder with wheels can be stored by the wall without affecting the passage on the ground floor. In addition to the desk, there is also a combined cabinet with a bookshelf and a folding bed on the ground floor, and the study room can also be used as a temporary guest room. The bookshelves on the upper and lower floors are enough to carry the owner’s collection of books. When taking books up and down by climbing the ladder, it adds a sense of ritual to reading.
