秋季家居色彩大赛在美国已经举行了四届，参赛者来自美国东部、中部、西南、西北和美国外其它国家。
组委会：举行这场设计大赛的目的是因为色彩搭配在室内装修中是非常重要的元素，但很少人能够运用的很好。为了让读者找到灵感，提高色彩搭配的水平，读者可以在大赛中投票选出最丰富多彩，漂亮的房子，并分享参赛者的经验。

美国的这场大赛分4个区域性比赛，先经过第一轮海选，各个区域选出16个作品进入各自区域的复选，再经历4轮，选出各自区域的第一名。每个区域冠军再经过3轮，选出全美的第一名。外加一组国际比赛。每一轮的胜出者都是根据国际网友的投票票数决定。
我们先从美国东部选区的第一轮复选开始直播，每日一组，两户，希望大家能选出自己喜欢的作品，第二天我们会公布国际网友选出的结果。

What inspired you to use color?I have always loved color, but when I got married, my husband, who isIndian, convinced me to try adding even brighter colors to our home;oranges, pinks, greens and blues. I love the global, eclectic feelingthat combining these colors gave our apartment. I also love to decoratethe walls with textiles, especially brightly colored saris. It can be agreat alternative if painting your walls is not an option.I often lookto the changing seasons for color inspiration. In the spring andsummer, fresh bouquets of flowers add pop to a room and during thefall, colorful gourds and pumpkins can make cute dinner table displays.Even the whites and blues of a still winter day can inspire a clean,clutter-free space.
Color Tip:Many people think that colorful walls will make a tiny room feel evensmaller. I think that a soft color on the walls makes even the smallestroom seem warmer. If you are a renter, ask your landlord to allow youto paint the walls, with the promise that you will return them to whitewhen you move out...it is worth the extra effort!

What inspired you to use color? Wewanted to use colors to create a welcoming, relaxed space that stillhad a bit of sophistication. Darker colors like deep brown, navy andolive are mixed with a bright orange to create some contrast and helpdivide the space. We find our color inspiration by living in New York,things we pick up at thrift stores, 60s style, nature, art andphotography...
