The design spirit of T3 is from the undulating mountains of Taiwan and the billowing Pacific Ocean, plus the local cultures and special living rhythms of Taiwan.

其壳结构顶棚跨度之长足以为一架A380遮风挡雨。屋顶由4,000个预制构件组成，由一系列造型纤细的四柱结构支撑。这些四柱支撑有规律地（相隔36米或72米）沿建筑脊柱在东西两边排列，如榕树气根垂下般美丽。

The shell ceiling is long enough to shelter one A380. The ceiling is composed of 4,000 prefabricated units and supported by a series of slim four- column structures. These four- column structures regularly lie on both west and east sides of the architectural spine, as beautiful as the banyan trees with falling aerial roots.

顶棚天花板设计也独树一帜，如群山、海浪绵延起伏，又如天际云卷云舒，依顺地形蔓延开来。顶棚天花板由13万个如梅花花瓣般的单元结构组成，如漫天花雨，亦如繁星闪烁。

The design of ceiling is special as well, which makes the ceiling undulating by the geography forms, like mountains, waves and clouds. The ceiling is composed of 130,000 plum blossoms, like a sky of blossom rain or stars.

In order to satisfy the fast increasing needs of customers and freight, and improve the quality of hardware facilities of Taoyuan International Airport of Taiwan as an aviation hub of east Asia, the concept of a smart, green and cultural design has already been set in the beginning design of T3. And other multiple functions like tourism, shopping, human cultures, arts, etc. have been integrated into the design of T3 as well. T3 will bring people the experience of international- 1st- level airports and become a new gate of Taiwan for connecting the world outside.
