每个家庭都渴望拥有一间理想的住宅，既能满足各种需求，又能提供充分的自由空间。住宅位于斯图加特的一个主要山坡上，设计师命其名为“House Viewpoint”即“观景宅”。

住宅的主人来自斯图加特，该地区一向以朴素务实的品德著称，因此，设计师所面对的挑战是如何在简洁中传达生活的情趣，在二者之间找到平衡。

在原建筑的改造过程中，设计师用连续的木拼花地板，从起居区和餐厅区延伸到开放式厨房区。原来的窗洞在改建中拓宽成落地式推拉门，既打开了眺望斯图加特市区的视野，又成为通往室外露台的路径。
